Coral Gables Fire Department Extrication Team
The Coral Gables Fire Department provides twenty-four hour emergency services, 365 days a year. In addition to the traditional service of fire suppression, the Department also provides advanced and basic life support emergency medical services and transport, rescue operations, fire prevention, life safety inspections, public education, and public information.
Services are provided to the Coral Gables community via three (3) fire stations. Each station covers a district (North, Central, and South) within said jurisdictional area. Each district is backed up by the other, as well as supplemental Cover rendered via a countywide Mutual Aid Agreement. All six fire-rescue departments within Miami-Dade County are committed to this agreement.
Communications and dispatch are provided by the Coral Gables Public Safety Communications Center utilizing an enhanced 911 system, as well as on-line medical control via statewide medical communications radio network.
